Pinchas Yas'ur
Pinchas Yas'ur

Pinhas Yassur

Born in Germany, 1920 and immigrated to Israel in 1935. Was one of the founders of Kibbutz Hullata in the north of Israel. During II World War served in the Jewish unit in the British Army in the west desert. He was one of the founders of the rehabilitation department of the Israeli ministry of Defense.

He started writing poems at the age of 50 and his books were published by "Poalim" edition in Israel. Some of his poems were set to music by Hanna Hacohen, Aviva Semedar and Ella Sheriff whose piece "Poem" for a chamber ensemble has remarkable response in Israel and all over the world.
